For my movie magazine cover, i created a few different designs to play around with the choice of image, the layout, text, fonts, etc. These are my covers.
From my previous magazine cover research i said that my magazine cover had to have the following things:
- A Large Catchy Title - with a red font and an outline of a different colour.
- A Dark Background - As it is more mysterious and creepy.
- A Main Image - It will need to take up most of the room or all of it, and need to be of something uncomfortable.
- A Catchy Maagazine Slogan - To help make the magazine more interesting.
- Capital Letters - To help the magazine stand out, and make it easier to read.
- A Colour Scheme - To help the magazone look good and more professional and less messy.
- Magazine Content - So the readers know what will be in the magazine before they read it.
- A Big Story Advertised - To pull the readers in.
- A Barcode.I followed these on some of my covers, and changed it slightly on others. After thinking about which is best and more effective i have chosen this one as my cover.
This is my final cover. I have chosen this one as it looks the most effective and is the clearest to read
I have a mix of fonts and colours, and i like the layout.
The cover doesn't give too much away about the film, but it gives just enough.
When I had my final ,magazine cover, I put the picture on Facebook, and asked people to comment on it.
This is what I got.
From Looking at this feedback, I saw that i had really positive comments and people liked my magazine cover.
However, one person spotted 2 mistakes. The first was a spelling mistake, and the second was saying blame should have a capital B. I did not change the b, as I did that on purpose for effect, I did change the spelling mistake, and here is the final version.
